Drink20 Philly

Drink20 FAQs

What is the best way to find out about Drink20 events?

We use Facebook to coordinate events. The locations we work with utilize Facebook as their primary social media platform to share events and information with their customers. We typically create the event with our account and add each brewery as a co-host.

Do I need to sign up for an event to join a game?

Signups are not required to join any Drink20 event. However, if you are able to RSVP via the Facebook event page, it really helps with planning for us and our hosts.

How can I sign up to run a game?

You can contact us and let us know what you’re interested in running, and what location or locations you are interested in attending. While we are not always in need of DMs, we like having a list of individuals we can contact for future events or if a current DM becomes unavailable.

Are there any age restrictions for events?

PA law dictates that anyone under 21 can legally attend a brewery provided they are accompanied by someone over 21 at all times. Those under 21 must also abide by any location-specific rules (see the Respect the Venue section of our Code of Conduct). PA law also dictates that anyone working directly with minors must have a series of state clearances. Unfortunately, none of our DMs have these clearances, so they cannot legally run a game for minors.

Children under 18 may sit near a guardian who is over 21 and play their own game, provided they are supervised by their guardian at all times. Unfortunately, children under 18 are not allowed to play D&D at our tables. The accompanying adult assumes all liability for the children under their care, and Drink20 takes no responsibility for any language or adult-oriented content that children may overhear.

If you are interested in D&D events specifically for children, Drink20 recommends Queen and Rook in Philadelphia. They run events specifically geared towards children, tweens, and teens.

I would like to host a Drink20 event at my brewery/business. How can I get started?

The best way to start is to contact us with information about your potential event including date, time, location, and the style of game you’d like (ex: sword and sorcery, sci-fi, modern fantasy, distopian future, etc.). We run tabletop RPGs (TTRPGs), including Dungeons and Dragons, Masks, Monster of the Week, and Daggerheart. We do not run board games (Ticket to Ride, Catan, Scrabble, etc.) or card games (Magic, poker, etc.). We are completely willing to offer non-TTRPG games during a Drink20 event, but we are not able to manage those games.
